Description
Frank Phillips…Dear Frank, Your telegram about page in Star-Telegram for next Sunday is extremely dissappointing. In as much as all the other Major Companies none of them at least have given me a page and seems a little far fetched for the Phillips co. to turn us down on the basis to use a page would require you to do likewise with other Publishers. In the first place this is the last special Edition that the Government will permit. In the second place it is the most unparalelled occasion of this kind that has happened in Texas. The Star-Telegram with one hundred and fifty thousand circulations and twenty five... greater than any other paper ... Furthermore we have spent fifteen or twenty years fighting for the ... things concerning the Oil business including many important things affecting your company as well as the industry as a whole. And when the ... comes to ask for some business we are turned down by rule Eighty, seven Eighty six so to speak. Makes it kinda disappointing. Still it brings us to the the realization that we know who our friends are. When it concerns the stupendent sum of seven hundred and sixty one dollars. Meanwhile you are the Doctor so we will just worry about the best we can and console our selves on the fact that nine other hard boiled Oil Companies are going along with us. Kindest Regards, Amon Carter
