- Letter most likely Amon Carter to Mary Jane McCaffree, secretary to Mamie Eisenhower, expressing concern that Ms. McCaffree was unaware of the friendship between the Eisenhowers and the Carters and, therefore, did not show them the invitation sent by the Carter which Ms. McCaffree declined on August 25, 1952.
