Description
Dear Amon, Your (illegible) letter of the 26th reached me Wednesday. It was most welcome and of course gave me a thrill. Its noveltry "Clipper Mail" from way off Guam. Ed got in on Wednesday noon and left on Thursday by plane for L.A. His story of the trip was most interesting. He regretted that he did not fly around the world. The Democratic Party is under deep oblications to the Republicans for twice electing F.D.R. Your friends are very sorry that you did not give us more time on your way through. Ed I think will fly East shortly, with best wishes, and (illegible) nothing will prevent you being with us next month. Very sincerely, J. Downey Harvey.
