- My dear Mr. Amon: The inclosed receipt cards, for the cigarettes which were sent for your by our organization, to Lieut. Amon G. Carter Jr. came to us at our headquarters. I know you will be glad to have them. They were canadian cigarettes, as American ones can only be sent with the next of kin Tobacco permits. Thanking you for your past order & with best wishes, I am Yours sincerely, Harriet Mack Welch Mrs. Stuart C. Welch Chairman. Wednesday, Feb. 2nd 1944
