Description
C.R. Burney Mr. Amon G. Carter c/o Fort Worth Star Telegram Fort Worth, Texas Lt. C.R. Burney 91st Armd. F.A. Ba. APO 251 New York City August 22, 1943 Dear Mr. Carter, I have been intending to write to you for a long time. I received a card from Amon Jr. a couple of months ago. He wanted some news about our outfit. Everything is about the same as when he was with us. We have a new C.O. - the old one went back to the States just after Amon left us. Everything else is the same except for a few things that he knows about. We fought in the Maknassy Sector and in the Bizente Sector. When we went back by Faid Pass, we searched for some trace of Amon as his things, but we found nothing. I would like to ahve Amon's address so I can write to him (illegible) Both the men and the officers who know Amon think of him often. My wife certainly enjoyed her visit with you. Charles Burney
