- Letter from W.H. Burghardt, father of 1st Lt. Bill Burghardt who was imprisoned with Amon, Jr., to Amon Carter asking if Carter had printed an article in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram about his son. Also enclosed are a memo from Carter's secretary, Katrine Deakins, to James R. Record of the Star-Telegram stating, "Mr. Record - Can you give me anything on this. KD" and Record's response.
