- Dear Amon:- My but you just haven't any idea how shocked and disturbed I am to read in the paper that Amon Jr is missing in action and old friend you have my sympathy_ still I feel that he is a chip off the old block and he'll talk himself out of where ever he is. The chances are by long odds he's in a prisoners camp as the (illegible) worse. He'll com through some how. I'm pulling for you and him. Sincerely Jim. 3/12/43
