- March 13, 1943. Dear Mr. Carter:- Needless to say how sorry we are about the report of your son being missing in action. We hope and pray that you will soon receive a report that he is safe and sound, even though he be a prisoner of the enemy. We all know that he fought gallantly and with great distinction. The sentiments expressed in this note are the sincere feelings of all who know you and your son. Kindest regards, Myer M. Donosky
