- Description
- General Subjects T.D.S. Camp Hood, Tex. March 13, '43 My dear Amon, - I read in the Star Telegram yesterday that Amon, Junior, was missing in action on the Tunisia front in Africa. I sincerely hope you will receive an early reoprt through Geneva that he is a prisoner and not wounded. My son came through here last month from Austin to report to the Air Force for training as a pilot. I thought I had reasonable courage but the night he left me, I dare not confess my lack of control after he was out of my sight. If the war lasts two years, I think his chances of survival are rather remote, and he is the last person I have very close to my heart. I trust and hope that Amon, Junior, is alive and in good health. Sincerely yours, Dexter Scurlock
