Description
Dear Mr. Carter: When our son, the late Capt. Charles C. Johnson III was home in November, we asked him how the boy's felt about being a prisoner of war, or being reported "missing in action." He replied, "While there's life there's always a chance-or hope"- Our son is gone. Please accept our sincere sympathy and it is our hope that your dear son, at worst, is a prisoner of war- and that he will be eventually restored to you. Sincerely, Hattye Mae Johnson. Charles C Johnson Jr.
