Description
Sunday. Katrine dear: Alice Johnson just phoned me the appalling news that little Amon was missing. She also said aMon was supposed to be in N.Y. tomorrow so I'm writing you - as I know your heart is as heavy as any of them. But please tell Amon my thoughts, love, and prayers are with you all. He may be in preison camp, or hospital. So keep praying! and so shall I. I wrote Amon a note last week, and sent him a picture of Edmund. I have joined that vast army of Government workers, as my work at home seeme absolutely over, for the duration. Three friends have a nice set up here at Stoneleigh. Am sure when Edmund goes overseas, Durelle and baby will come right back here. Wont you write me a letter, and tell me anything you know of the details? Just last week I had a note form Green Talbot (isn't he in the same company?) no news, but a description of the country, ect. - no body knows, better than I, how you love those children, so please know--I am thiknking of you too. My love to Carl, and dont give up. Always your friend, Ethel Van Zandy
