- Description
- Wednesday the 17th My dear Mr. Carter: I have just learned of the recent report on Amon Jr. I know how concerned you must be, but I want to add my encouraging thoughts to the many I know you must have already received. I have recently had two friends, reported as missing, turn up none the worse for the experience, and if one could have a preference as war prisoner, Ease is certainly better than West. We'll all keep hoping that good news will arrive soon. Saw Pops Whiteman in New York last week and when I got a short leave, but couldn't get away for his Carnegie concert last Tuesday - he looked good. Please give my best wishes to Hodges when you get to N.Y. My best personal wishes. Sincerely, Jerry Harrigan Lieut. M.C.U.S. U.S.N.R. U.S.N. Recruiter Albany N.Y.
