- Wednesday. Mar. 17th 1943. Dear Amon, I have been thinking about you every day & would love to see you any time that you feel like it. We all hope that Amon Jr. is safe, & I know how hard it is for you, waiting to hear. I have always been so fond of Amon, Jr. as he & Frank were such good friends, every on that knows him, loves him. Frank has gone to Fort Riley Kan. & Burwell will leave April 5th. I just hope that I can be as brave as you have been every since Amon went into the army. If there is any thing that I can do for you be sure & let me know, I just wanted you to know that I have been thinking about you. I am, Always your devoted friend, Bea.
