Description
March 17. 1943. Dear Amon:- Reading in the paper I saw where little Amon (as I always think of him) was captured by the Germans. It made my heart ache for you all. Only wish there was some thing I could say to express my love and sympathy for each one of you. I know it has been a terrible blow to all. Bless his heart I hope he has the faith that God is all powerful and watching over him always. Just read the 11th chapter of Hebrews it will be a consolation to you to know that anything we ask in his name we shall receive. I have had so many of my prayers answered and reading that chapter has helped me so much. God bless all of you and my you hear some good news soon. Buster and I are praying for Amon, day and night. Our (illegible) as he is, I feel sure God will protect him from all harm. And he will return home safe to us all. Would love to kn ow if you have heard from him and he is alright. With many thanks again for all your wonderful kindness to us and with love for all. Always, Julia Tripp. 307 E. 44st New york City Had dinner with Mr & Mrs Clements last night and they said you must have heard long ago before it was published. They were so sorry to hear it. We do pray that Amon can keep in touch with you all the time.
