- Thursday. Dear Mr. Carter: No further news- I just wanted you to know my thought are with you. Perhaps this new onslaught over there will help bring Amon, Jr's. release, for our boys are on the offensive now. Sidney was fine- the latest news is of March 3rd, & he said he had shell fragments taken from his hand & it's healing nicely- just a scratch. God willing, I hope the campaign will be over very soon there and set Amon, Jr. free. It took a month for us to get news that he was missing and undoubtedly it will take that much time for us to get news that he's well- so who can tell- he might even be out of it right now.
