- Description
- Dear Amon, Ever since reading about Amon Jr. in the paper I have wanted to write to you as I have thought of you so often. I think what you are going through now must be about the most difficult thing a person could be asked to endure. The uncertainty and not knowing anything, must be harder to hear than anyone knows. You know how very fond I have always been of Amon Jr. and bless his heart, somewhere, somehow. We all hope and pray for his safety, and well being. There isn't much a person can say at a time like this to lighten the heartbreak and anxiety but I want you to know I am thinking of you as well as that fine boy of yours. He is in my prayers. I wanted to write to you sooner but am just now up and around recovering from some dastardly germ that laid me low for days. With love, Betty March Twentieth.
