- Description
- March 21, 1943 Dear Mr. Carter, Please let me express to you my deep concern over the news you received about Amon. It has distressed me more than anything & have ever encountered, as Amon is one of my very best friends, and has been since we were very young. Some how though I have the feeling that he is all right and will turn up in the very near future; he's the darnest fellow for doing things like that. If I knew Amon like I think I do you'll hear from him real soon with a message for you to send him a coupld of thousand dollars for all the German's he has captured. If there is anything that I can possibly do please don't delay in notifying me immediately, as there is nothing in the world I wouldn't do for Amon. As soon as you receive news from him & would certainly appreciate it if you would let me hear from you; it would take a great load off my mind as it would you. Again let me say that no news is good news and a strong heart will ultimately give way to success and the best news you will ever receive- that concerning the safety of one of the finest sons a man could ever hope to have, not to mention one of the best friends I will ever hope to have. Looking forward to hearing from you within the very newar future, I am Respectfully yours, Frank
