- Description
- Mr Amon Carter c/o Fort Worth Star-Telegram Fort Worth, Texas Mar 23-43 Dear Sir I enclose a clipping from the Buffalo Evening News, which reports the sad news that your son is missing in action We have a grandson Chas P. Mugler Jr who was in this first American Battle in Tunisia & was reported missing on Feby 15 which I believe was the day of the battle. We are hoping that he is a prisoner but up to now we can get no infromation except the report "missing in action" If you receive any information regarding your son being a prisoner please let us know. Does the enemy sooner or later give out the names of the prisoners? Are the prisoners allowed to write or (illegible)? We would so (illegible) to find out that our Philip is alive - even if a prisoner. Philip is 22 years old and was in the 1st Armored Division. This is certainly a terrible war & I pray that it may soon end. You have our sympathy. We live here in the winter & in Buffalo NY the rest of the year. Yours truly John H. Brogan
