Description
Dear Amon- Since I heard the news of Amon, Jr. being missing in action, I have thought of you and Nennette so much - being a parent with a son out at sea- I know full well the anxiety you are going through; and I hope and pray before long you will get a message he is safe; altho a prisoner. As I wrote Nennette I would much rather Max be a German prisoner than a Jap prisoner as I feel they are more human, if it is possible, than the dirty Japs. I had two letters from Max last week- the first since 14th of Feb. He is out on the Pacific on a destroyer. He has recently been made a Lieut. J.G. which made me very proud of him. We are all very proud of our fine sons who are having to fight this cruel war but withour faith and prayers and God, will they may come safely home. Please remember me to Mrs. Deakins as I know what she is going thru also as she loved Amon so much. Trusting you will get good news soon, I am Most sincerely Lola Dolson 6767 Yucca Apt 6 Hollywood, Calif. 3-25-43
