- Description
- March 31st 1943 Dear Amon I am sorry that I had not known of your boy until I recently had a letter from Jim Farley. My heart goes out to you in affectionate sympathy and I am earnestly hoping that by now you have received some definite news. The suspence must have been unbearable. but I feel sure that there must be a chance, at least that he is safe. I have no children of my own but I have two nephews in North Africa, one a Lieutenant Colonel, the other a private. Naturally I am apprehensive and constantly in dread of tragic news. Please find time to let me know if you hear anything, as I am very fond of you and feel deeply concerned Sincerely your friend Sam Fordyce
