- Description
- Uvalde, Texas April 6, 1943 Dear Mr. Carter:- The entire Garner family are feeling deeply the sad news which has come to you- let us pray that Amon Jr. is just missing & that you will hear some comforting news soon. God have mercy upon this war stricken world. Tully & Ann are back in Uvalde to live & Genevieve is here just now_ her husband is at Fort Dix_ Tully was offered another R.F.C. job, but he has more than enough to do in the First State Bank & the Zavala Co Bank to keep him busy together with looking after all his & his father's other private business. I wish I could express all we feel about Amon Jr. We love you so much that your sorrow is ours. God bless you- Ettie G.
