- April 6, 1943 Dear Mr. Carter:- Abundance of words doesn't contribute to mental relief. After hearing of the report of your son from Dr. McKnight in Washington may I say American and the state of Texas may be justly proud of a young hero. Your anxiety must be terrific, but one thing, that theatre of action should be closed very soon. Wishing you good fortune and news at the earliest moment. Sincerely, Ken E. Crago.
