- Odessa, Texas. Apr. 9, 1943. Mr. Carter, I have just received a letter from Alvin dated March 16. he wants me to write you and tell you how concerned the Regiment is over the boys, and to you he extend his sympathy and regrets. And tell you ever one has bullits names for Amon Jr. Alvin has made the head lines this morning. I am being asked for pictures and history. My prayer is for God to love the boys and bring them safely thru. Alvin's mother. Mrs. J.E. Parker
