- Description
- 1204 Hawthorne April 13, 1943 Dear Uncle Amon: It seems awful to be just now thanking you for the wonderful christmas presents you gave us, but I was aiming to come up to see you. I got to thinking it over & thought best not to bother you- We missed you at your home christmas morning- Ruth, Bertice, Katrine & Carl were sure nice to us and we sure do appreciate it- Mike is sure growing. He keeps me busy when I get home from work. He has me either, playing ball, flying a kite, spinning a top or playing marbles, but I enjoy it. I have a nice job & enjoy my work. I have worked pretty hard for a year without being absent a day. We all still have hope & pray that soon you will get word that Amon Jr. is safe and in good health. You have done so much for me I wish I could be of some help to you. We all think the world of you & your family- Love to all Henry
