- Description
- Apr. 15, 1943 Dear Mr. Carter_ Lyndon writes me that you sent me some lovely flowers, which I think was so thoughtful and sweet of you! Thank you so very much. This morning when I read in the paper that your son is reported a prisoner I felt like shouting. Distressed as you must be over his welfare I know it must be bliss to know that he is still alive. I shall write Lyndon about it_ though he doesn't miss much and he's probably heard it already. Thank you again and best wishes, Bird Johnson (Mrs. Lyndon Johnson)
