- Dear Amon- I didn't write or call you when you firest heard the bad news about Amon Jr because_well I just didn’t know what to say. I hope tho you knew my heart was full of sympathy for you. Now tho, I am so happy and relieved to know he has been located, is alive and not in Japanese hands, that I feel like shouting and crying- for joy. It really is wonderful and seems almost miraculous. I haven't said any at this like I wanted to but you know I'm trying to tell you I'm happy for you. Much love, Gussie
