Description
Dear Sir: I see in yesterdays Dallas News, that Miriam A. Ferguson, Governor has called (Illegible) you to resign from the Board of Regents of Technological College for specific reasons. Here is hoping that you call her hand and stand your ground--All the bootleggers and their patrons in this section of the state that I know of are Ferguson supporters. This is not saying that no good people voted for the Fergusons--unfortunately many of them did: but the violators of law and patrons of the damning vices that foster demoralization of society seemed to be unanimous for the sham candidates for governor last year--whose real issue and contention was to foist J. E. Ferguson upon the people of Texas as governor in fact-- Don't resign--Force Jim Ferguson to take legal proceeding to oust you. I mailed the star Telegraph I'm article yesterday on the merit of Dan Moody's. Suits to annual road contracts that I hope you will find sufficiently well written to publish with S. T. I am writing for the general good use your discretion. Very Respectfully yours, J. M. Perdue
