- Description
- Hawley, Texas. Dec. 5, 1925: Hon. Amon Carter, Ft Worth, Texas Dear Sir:- As a citizen and taxpayer of Texas and being conversant with the facts in the controversy between th governor and yourself, I wish to say that, in me opinion, you are right in the views you take of the matter. As i see it, you have violated no law, and the governor is not justifiable in askng fr your resignation as chairman of the board fo director of the Texas Technological College of Texas. I, for one, am proud of the fact that you were a booster for our young ??? Dan Moody. He is, in my opinion, a friend to the taxpayers of Texas and should be our next governor. In conclusion, I wish to say, that we, the good people of Texas are with you. Respectfully N. N. Shields ??? of Hawley Public School.
