Description
44/4/2 Dear Dad, Just received your letter of February Twenty-Three. I have ordered a good wrist watch from Switzerland and you will recie the bill in the mail. Captain Salerno, A good friend of mine, has the same watch and it really swell. He hot it in another camp. You don't have to wind them at all, they wind themselves by using the motion of you arm. I also have the 2 watches you sent in parcels. We heard we can expect two hundred cigars per month; good enough. I hear tobacco goods have been increased twice the former allowance. Lt Fabian and Lt Evans and myself dark anyone else in camp to just come near in figures as many cigars smokes here per day by us. Don't worry though, but remember how many cigars you used to smoke. Thanks a lot for looking up those 2 girls for me: Evelyn Haynes and Midge Martin. Am getting along fine and gaining a little weight. Have received some 30c airmail letters in 22 days. Please keep sending pictures, sports, and maybe some good automobile wrecks. See Flem Hall or Richardt. Have had 36 of your letters, 17 from Katrine, 30 form Ruth, 82 from Mother, and 10 from jean. Will write Katrine Next week. Lots of Love, Amon Jr.
