Description
August 13, 1944 Dearest Ruth, Your swell letters have been arriving regularly and I am still waiting for more pictures. Am sure Suzanne's wedding was huge success and I certainly wish I had been there. The reception would have been just the right thing, the way I feel now. It seems that just about everyone we know is now married. We have a lot of officers here were married for 2 or 3 weeks then went overseas. You should hear what they have to say. There are 6 officers in my cubicle and all have wives except me. Not on of the 5 have been with their wives for more than 3 months. Sure hope Bill Bomar is ok. ***** Is certainty isn't giving out any important information, Have you heard the definition of a WAC? A double breasted soldier with a built in foxhole. You have probably already heard it but it has just arrived here. Tell Mable, Stanley and Bill hello for me. Have had 2letters from Mable, Give everyone else my love. Will close now. All my love, Bud
