- February 7, 1945 Dearest Mother, Am fine, but very tired. Don't send clothes, only food. No R.C. parcels here. New address is Stalag III A, Oflag. All old mail & parcels will be forwarded. Last time I saw Penn and Marten they were okay. I plan on being home for your birthday. I am ready to come home now, don't want to stay now. I probably won't write often but I am okay so don't worry. Give Ruth, Jean, Katrine, and all my love. Wrote Dad today too. Lots of Love, Amon Jr.
