- April 30 Dear Amon, Mother has asked me to write and thank you for sending her the clippings that Amon, Jr. we have all felt so releived and thankful since hearing the news that he is a prisoner and hope there may be an exchange of prisoners beore too long. To know he is alive is good. We have all thought so much about you during the many anxious days and rejoice with you. Mother has been well for several weeks, she cancelled Mr. Hys here who admired her adoration which was feared. Am happy to to tell you she got along just fine and is relaxing easily today. Will probably be at the Memorial Hospital for another two weeks. She send love and appreciation for you thougtufl flowers. Sincerely, Laurie Freddie Lamar
