Description
April 22, 1942 517 Vance St. Taylor , Texas Dear Mr. Carter, It has been some time since I wrote you and I wonder if you have heard anything from Amon, Jr. I sincerely hope you have good news. Mrs. James Bond of Waco has had word from the government that Capt. Bond has been liberated by the Russians. Several of the boys from Oflag 64 are back in the States. I hope some the Texas are in the group. I feel that we will soon be seeing our loved ones again. the Russians are in Berli. Maybe it will mean moer of the boys will be released. We can just wait and pray for the day our boys are all home. My last letter is still Dec. 31st but from the tone of his latters, he seemed in excellent spirits said they were all fine. I hop e you have heared or will soon and shall appriciate any information you mauy receive abou thtese boys. let's contineu to hope and pray that they will soon be home with us again. Sincerely, Mrs. Ivan C. Carter
