- Mr. & Mrs. Carter Star Telegram Ft. Worth Texas, USA March 25, 1943 Dear Folks, I am fine but need some things: sugar, jam, cocoa, cookies, candy and cigars, slippers, bath robe, pajamas. Send package once a week. Also send pictures of family. Johnny Jones here also. Cameras, watch, pocketbook stolen by Arabs. Have money orders with me. See Red Cross about packages, especially food and cigars. Give Ruth, Katrine, Bertie, Granny, my love. Mable, Stanley, Mac Hell Love Amon, Jr.
