- December 9, 1943 Dear Dad, By the time you get this, your birthday will be over, but I am hoping you had a swell one. Have had 4letters from you, 11 from Katrine *********************************. Can't understand why. In a book or clothing parcel please send me 1 or 2 hundred small plain white envelopes from my stamp collection. Several American magazine parcels have arrived also for other officers. Am in good health but it's really cold. Love, Amon Jr
