- Dear Mr. Carter: Would appreciate if you have had any information from you son. He was in the same camp (Oflag 64) I believe with Capt. Hugo Fieldschmidt. Dr. Fieldschmidt was a dentist in my office. I haven't heard from im since the Russian's had taken over that part of the country. I do not know whether he was freed by the Russians or taken into the interior of Germany. Any information that you may have heard regarding any of the prisoners in this camp will be very much appreciated. I remain Yours Respectfully, Dr. ML Friedman
