Description
Dear Miss Deakins - I'm so thrilled to know you've bad news of Amon Jr. but am heartbroken to know his ill and wants food etc? To think of such nearly kills me but some way or other, I feel that he'll come out of it all right and perhaps may the exchanged for German prisoners? Such terrible experience he's going through certainly requires strength of characters as well as phrycial strenth but he'll come through I know for he has what I takes. It was so difficult for me to write as I was afraid I'd say something that I shouldn't SO please feel free to read the letter yourelf as I'm sure you'll know where what should be said or unsaid? It was lovely of you to tell me all about Amon's letters and I do appreciate it greatly. I enclosed a small picture that I had taken recently. They were identification pictues that I sent the Red Cross as I'm applying for said sevice- have all reason to believe I'll pass if I can only pass the eye that but I didn't mention this to Amon as I didn't know if I should or not. Think he'll like the shot anyways and I 'll send him more letters. Ok How I wish it were possible for me to do some little something to make it easier for him, bt I'm sure he knows I would do anything I coudl? Again, thanks for the news of him and for sending letter to him. Will look forward to hearing from you when time permits. Hope you're fully recooperated. Very Truly Yours, Marg. E Harding
