Description
Dear Mrs. Deakins - So many changes have occurred to me in the ast few weeks that my correspondance has follow short of my usual record. For, since the war, I have tried to keep my letter witing up to date but it is, indeed a problem. You see, Ky. politics have changed (for the better, I'm afraid) and I knew a relase would be in order for me, I resigned May 12th but an answer for I was sure you were busy and figured you would write when you could find time. How about Amon Jr? As eyt, I haven't heard since Mar. 6th That letter was dated in jan. of since he's been a prisoner either a card or letter has come to me about every eight or ten weeks. So, I'm feeling anxious to hear again. I keep letters on the way to him. Try to write each day, although there is very little I can tell him. Stayed on Frankfort until the last of May as my aprtment rend had been paidup to the last of month. I am now planning to spend June here at home, resting and gettting caought up on several tasks here. It was, indeed, a joy to hear from you again for I couldn't imagine what had happened that I didn't hear from you - However, I understand perfectly how very diffficult it is to keep up in offices or any places now and thought nothing of the delay. Do hpe that the invasion in Europe is over soon and he can be released for he has been so brave. Know he's anxious to get home and live a normal life, again, I've worked on the scrap book, that I'm keeping of him, tonight and it's amazing how much I have in it. It's really most interesting and I love it. Know he'll enjy looking through ti when he returns. Do let me hear any news of him. An I appreciate you letters so much. Sincerely, margaret E. Harding.
