- Description
- Mr. Amon G. Carter: Two weeks ago tonight I heard a radio broadcast about your son, who was a war prisoner at Luchennalde, meeting you in Germnay. I am anxious to learn if my son, Lt. Henry W. Haynes, was one of the boy he went to go back and get. My son was at Oflag 64 having been captured in Tunsnia all February 17, 1943.We have not heard from him since they were marched out of Oflag 64, January 21st. I rejoice with you that your son is alive and you have had te priilige of seeing him and seeing with him and hope he is not already sick of you, for the joy you have of him being aroung. Mr. RC White is a friend of my sister and family who likes there. She has seen thoughtful and kind to pass any message. He receives about his son, RC White JR. For any information you are able to give me I shall be most grateful. Sincerely yours, Mrs. Haynes
