Description
June 12, 1943 Mr. Amon G. Carter Houston forwarded your letter and envelopes on to me here at the ranch. We certainly do wish to thank you most sincerely for your kindess and consideration. It was greatly apreciated. We had a telegram on the 8th that Bobby was a prisoner of war interned at Stalag 3 at Germany, also his navigator Lt. Nash and Lt. White White reported as wounded. Lt. Whie was the bombardier. We have thus far, not been able to bear converning co-pilot Lt. Jasmickor the rest of the crew. I beleive thought they were saved as they should have had a better chance of getting out of there than Juliots, navigator, and bombardier. I haven't yet heard from the Provost Marshal General, by letter, but before to hear in the next day or so from them giving his prisoner number so that we may write, and also enclosing a label as we can get off a package. Hopefully to see you one of these days and thank you in person for your kind ness and condierstaion I am. Sincerely yours, Jack Mansfield
