Description
Dear Mr. Carter: I received a card from Amon Jr. last week. He said that he was fine, and asked if I would send a divisoin patch to you to to put in a his next parcel: I finally olocated three of them: They are no longer a standard item of supply here anymore., it's been so long since the Frist Armed left here., I am now in charge of the Officers Advanced Training Course, here at the Armoured School. I have quarters of the post and my wife and daughter live here with me. It is quite wonderrul to lead such a normal life, again. Lt. Maras is here and is one of the instructors in my dept. Capt Duncan just reutned and is starting through the course as a student. Major Aultman is still here, expecting an assignment to Peru. Col. Swimmeralll left the school and is working out of Washington. Major McElroy got home three weeks ago and will probably be sent here. Capt. Frey is home, went to Ft. Dill and is now assinged to anew Field Artrillery Branch. Lt. Hannon and Groeber are of their way home. So is Capt MCWhinney so rotation is finally giving me some of the boys a break. I ceertianly hope that Amon Jr. joins this procesison befoer long. Both you and he have certianly earned it. Of course you know that Lt. Burney is Capt. and has a battery. I'm going to write a long letter to Amon Jr. now I wrote the last one as a civilian so I guess it went through all right. Respectfully, Stanley Malless
