Description
Dublin, Texas 4-8-1945 Mr. Amon G Carter Ft. Worth Tex Dear Mr. Carter Needless for me to try and tell you how happy I am about my dear boy being a free man. Mr. Carter I am so very very sorry about your precious but maybe he was liberated and Doyle just doesn't about it. The Russians liberated so many, I feel like I know Amon Jr. Doyle wrote so many times and was praising him for his bravery. He didn't say it in those words but I knew what he was trying to tell. We're looking for Doyle home about Fri of this week. In his last telegram he thought he would see us by then. My husband talked to him the day you called us (last week) I beleive it was I had no idea it was Doyle calling or I would have gone and talked or would have tried it doubt I could have talked. Mr. Carter I surely hope you hear from Amon Jr. soon. Keep your faith in God it was through the goodness of God that our boy is safe. Your freind, A. A. Yardely. P. S. If you here anything from Amon Jr. be sure to let us know. Doyle will be so glad ot hear.
