- 538 Chesnut Ave Redlands, Calif 17 April 1945 Dear Mr Carter - I talked to Ozzie on the telephone last week. He arrived on that ship a week ago yesterday, and I asked him about Amon Jr. Mr. Carter, he said that Amon had made the march into Germany. Ozzie escaped. That's all he'd say over the phone. He'll be out here about Sunday, Mr Carter, and maybe he can give you some information. I was sorry to hear that he wasn't with Ozzie. Mr. Carter, when you here anything, were still very interested and if you can, let us know. I'm wishing sincerely that Amon Jr will be back with you soon.
