Sunday - 5.27.5 Dear Mr Carter:- Was truely good news that your and Amon had both landed safely home. We are sure your trip was an interesting story with a very thankful and happy ending. Bob's letters are filled with experiances that he can hardly realize has been his good fortune to have He feels that you have been a real Godfather. Mr Carter is a grand person and allways a close friendly feeling for Amon and Johnny in his letters. We are patiently waiting his arrival so glad that he could see Paris and enjoy your wonderful hospitality. Such a grand opportunity for any young man and we are proud that Bob was one of fortitude (?) am sure his playing along the way with you has delayed his arrival home. But thats allright with his mother & father. Mr. Henry and I have had much in common with you the last two years - you have been so understanding and (?) us over come dark and trying months We will allways feel grateful. We share your happiness in haveing your (?) Dear son with you. May we say two words- "Thank you" and from the depth of hour Hearts. Sincerely, Mrs Henry.
