- Friday Dear Mrs. Deakins: Hope Amon Jr. is home by now and you all are able to relax. I can imagine your anxiety in awaiting his return! The other day I mailed a little gift to Ruth - which I had meant to do since May 1st - but just didn't. We’ve been in a whirl. Sidney is back here now awaiting reassignment. He has not heard from the division, but we feel that he will be released from that outfit & will stay in the states. If Amon Jr. is home, tell him that Ken Goddard was married on June 2nd and the (?) (?) fellow is home at St. Leavenworth. Our love to you all - Jane.
