Mr Record Roanoke Tex. May 1 1943 Dear Mr. Carter- I see in the paper about your so. I'll send you about my boy. I'll just copy this letter and you put it in the paper please, I think it just wonderful. Thanking you for the information you gave me. Tell your boy to (??) and they may keep each other and be (?) to (?) Sincerely Mrs. J. B. Ragsdale 9/6 Chestnut St. Waban Mass. April 25, 1943 Mrs. J B. Ragsdale Roanoke, Tex. Dear Mrs. Ragsdale:While listening to a foreign broadcast last evening, I pciked up the following message addressed to you: "Alive and well. Am a prisoner of war. Still in Tunis(?), but expect to be sent to Germany. Treated O.K. Will let you know where to write as soon I get a permanent address. Tell the folks I am O.K. With Love (?)."
