Description
#9.D May 6th '43 My Dear Harold: Knowing so little about the care of your friend's capture is hard for me to give any advice. But if there is any available data regarding the date and approximate locale of capture it may be possible to trace the Arab though the two cameras which, if I understand correctly he stole,,, there is a man in Tunis who has bee with the Sinete a secret policy , for years and when we rake the city of Tunis our people can find out if he has survived . His name is Francois Medeliji, or Delgi. Francois and his brother are the only sons of the chief executioner, to SA the Bay of Tunis, and their sleuthing has been done chiefly amoth the native population. So I'm convinced that if Francois a first class rascal, between ourselves, stands a pretty good change getting a line on the Arab through the Kaid or Cheih of the district - where the capture took place Medelgi is the only I've ever known who was ashamed by his naive Muhammad. He changed it to Francois believe it or not! Anyway, for a little money I've known this to accomplish wonders. How is Lois? Give her my best regards also solute the country man I expect you've that Harry Solon by now I told this to call you up. Was so glad to hear from you again. Actually, war on this point of writing you when the phone to say Weslan was on the live. Best, Rex
