- Description
- 5954 Norwaldo Ave Indianapolis, Ind January 12, 1943 Mr. Amon G. CArter Fort Worth, Texas Dear Mr. Carter, I want to thank you for being so kind and thoughtful to write me such a nice letter and send me the dinner menu that George sent to me. I want you to know too the telephone message I had from your home was deeply appreciated. I get so anxious for news at times about my husband and any word means so much. I have had four letters since he and his men arrived in Africa He is so tired of the rain! Any time you could send me any word of the 91st AFA BN I would surely appreciate it and pass the word of the officers wives here that I know you probably will get news when we won't . I know you must have some thrilling trips. We bought Texas newspapers here trying to find some on your writing. But didn't find the right paper. From your letters we know which paper you have now. Thanking you again, I remain Very Sincerely, Mrs. George M Stipp P.S. Did George send any film back with you? If he did I imagine you could not bring it in the country.
