January 3rd Dear Katrine: I just finished writing Mr. Carter and feel as if I missed dined my appreciation justice. I don't know why it's so hard for me to show enthusiasm where you know without saying how thrilled I was with the nylons and purse about which I wanted to let you = I have used the bad an every occasion calling for bleach lines Christmas and I simply love it, thanks to you. I asked all myself and couldn't find a darn thing that was less than three feet long and an individual with lengthy baubles and doodads having on it. So you can see something I really wanted. I enclosed a letter from Amon in Mr. Carter's letter. No news but anything is welcome. I am sending it to you Mother how been berry a week now and I hope had company for with the last weekend (Xmas and New Year). I certainly hope it is for you and Mr. Deakin and my best wishes to you both. Love, Jean
