Description
Jan. 4, 1943. Mr. Amon G. Carter, Fort Worth, Texas. My dear Mr. Carter: Dr. Talbot and I do feel deeply grateful to you for your kindness and interest in Green's welfare. We hank you so much for the message sent from British Isles to your secretary who at your request, phoned. It certainly has meant more to us than we can ever tell you. I know that I express too the feeling of all relatives and friends here who have likewise heard through your thoughtful generosity and of our boys, who feel that, through you, thy have had the privilege of a personal touch with those at home. May the new year have for you and yours all the richest blessings that can come to a most outstanding citizen and patriot of not only fort worth and Texas but of our American and her allies. I am sure our boys will , so remember you always. Our prayer is for early victory, health and happiness and a speedy safe return of your son and all the boys over there. Sincerely, Rose A. Talbot. (Mrs. W.O. Talbot)
